These are the steps you need to take to prepare a general lab proposal:

1. Check Content Roadmap Asana for info and deadlines.

2. Define learning outcomes (LO) and objectives.

3. Come up with a compelling story.

Create a word document with the main storyline and LO.Divide the lab in 5-10 missions (see image below). These missions are the ones that will be shown in the Missions tab in the LabPad, think about names that describe well the missions and are not too long for the LabPad.

Distribute the main LO along the missions(it is ok if they appear several time, specially the key LO). Try to be clean and organize, you should be able to use this as a Flow proposal for collaborators. See an example here: NMR_labproposal.

Also decide about the animations you need to include in the lab (intro/outro and molecular animations, and ask yourself/collaborators what is the educational value added with the animations). Animations are the more time-consuming thing to develop; so the sooner you start thinking about them the better.
