Game Engine Architect
We are putting together a new team for a project that aims to speed up the development of exciting features for the students and teachers using Labster. We are looking for a Game Engine (Unity) Lead to help us deliver a high performance experience.
This is your chance to join an early stage project within a successful startup/ scale-up and shape the project's future. We are using Unity as the main game engine for our product and we are looking to rebuild our engine to be a high performance engine and delivery platform to enable us to create an amazing experience for our users.
What you'll be doing
Implementing game engine systems, tools and workflows for other developers and content creators, dependency management and quality checkers.
Driving and participating in conversations and decisions regarding the technical vision for the game engine with technical, product and content creator stakeholders.
Fostering a game development community involved in constant exchange of ideas, best practices, skills and innovation across teams.
Evaluating new frameworks and tools that can be integrated into the existing engine without breaking previous implementations.
If you've got these skills, we'd love to hear from you
+4 experience of Unity3D. Deep understanding of Unity workflows and tools specially on Asset bundles / Addressable asset systems.
You have been part of shipping multiple titles/ products preferably on mobile platforms and tool packages using Unity3D
Experience operating a game during production and post production phase (Game as a service mentality)
Expert in C#
Excellent track record of building a high performing engine and tooling for game designers and content creators
Strong understanding of game programming patterns and multithreaded/ parallel programming
Directing performance optimisation including CPU and GPU performance, memory, streaming and build processes
