ELISAassay we have:

  • Test Sample: A mixture with unknown analyte concentration.

  • Standard: A known concentration analyte . The standard is used to create a standard curve, in order to determine analyte concentration in the sample.

  • Method control: Prepared from the same material as the Standard. The purpose of method control is to check the integrity of the standard curve.

  • Project control: Prepared from drug sample substances. The project control serves as assay control.

Both Method and Project controls are run on every test plate, with the project control being serially diluted (the same as a sample would be) and the method control being added neat to the plate.
